Silmiriemu is full of artists and artisans who create splendid, unusual, funny and sometimes sad items. You can find something that touches, brightens up, amuses or adorns. For many members recycling is important issue, which is the reason why many products have been made partially or completely from recycled materials. Get to know our artists and artisans: Saara, Miila and Meri. They all have their unique style and character.

In Meri’s sewing room there are also being created, besides clothing, purses, hair decorations and jewellery. She loves beads and glitter. Glamour and old Hollywood-style. Besides readymade-collections you can order individually designed unique items. Meri’s favourite materials are linen and luxurious fabrics like lace, taffeta, tulle and organza, beads, rhinestones, ribbons, old buttons and buckles.

From Saara's workshop come retro-tops, vests and other unique accessories. All made from wool or cotton.
Vests: Warmth of knitted shirt as a thin layer around you, for cold and hot waves, a warmer for asthma children, even under a fitted coat as an accessory. Made from wool and recycled decoration - lace scarf maybe, maybe something else....
You can contact Saara to order custom made products, or you can go to our online shop and buy ready made products there. You can also find Saara and her handicrafts from events (information about which you can get from the News page).

Miila's papier-mâché works are mostly custom-made, varying in size and shape, from small mirrors to 1.5 meter mystical figures.
Biorama’s: In these artworks Kokko customises items that are found from wherever and abandoned by others, into new shapes. Here can be found a little bit of kitsch from these works, Latino blood mixing with irony and grief.
